This Wednesday’s word is inspire. To inspire is to fill someone with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.
On my Journey To Spartan, many people have inspired me. My main inspiration to start getting fit and healthy, as you know, is Joe De Sena. As a matter of fact, it was Joe’s response to My Letter, that inspired me to start blogging. Joe’s book, “Spartan Up” is full of great experiences that the Spartan Race founder went through. Reading how Joe overcame obstacles to get where he is today, as well as how he challenges people participating in his races to overcome their own mental and physical obstacles, inspires me to do the same.
Joe isn’t the only person who inspires me on a daily basis. Anyone who has gone through a positive transformation, whether it’s a physical change or a new mental outlook, has a strong affect on me. One guy who underwent this type of a transformation is Sharpenthesword. His daily posts and messages inspire me get out of bed and start the day off right! He stays honest with how he trains and feels. He also gives you his workout every once in a while.
Another source of inspiration is Anna. You may know her as MomStrong4. She’s a true Spartan, helping others out as a personal trainer/coach. Her blog consists of stories of her killer workouts, some healthy recipes that look delicious, and even stories of her kids! Every time I see her posts in my feed, I’m filled with awe at what she can do. Her strength and willpower to push through her day-to-day life, as well as when she’s at a race is very moving to me. She also gives me a goal to be strong like her on and off the course.
One of my goals with this blog is to be able to motivate and inspire you, the same way Joe, Sharpenthesword, and Momstrong4 have inspired me. I know how tough it can be some days to just get out of bed, no less go to the gym or on a morning run. Without good inspiration, those tough days may happen more than you would like them to. I hope I that can help fuel your daily fitness routine, and keep you inspired to stay or get on the right path!
